Nursery Class

Lili Wen Fach Nursery Class, Groes-wen Primary School:

Our Nursery class, led by Mrs Rhisiart, follows the Curriculum for Non‑Maintained Settings, which places the child at the heart of learning and development and closely aligns with our commitment to Froebelian principles, where play, the importance of relationships, and real-life, meaningful experiences are central to learning.

Our nursery class is a calm and purposeful environment that fosters:

• Independence
• Curiosity and creativity
• Strong relationships and a sense of belonging

Children are encouraged to explore and make their own choices through rich experiences such as block play, bread making, and discovering new things outdoors. Everything is carefully planned to support their growth as confident, happy learners.

We are also fortunate to work in partnership with Cylch Meithrin, which is located on the school site and offers a wrap‑around childcare service for children in our nursery class Lili Wen Fach, depending on numbers and demand. You can find out more about their provision here:
